Of particular interest are the DIY projects of individuals who are finding ingenious ways to generate energy. We also deal with advancements in batteries and energy storage, both long and short-term. We, of course, touch on solar energy but only on alternative methods to source this renewable source. Devices using magnates, copper, springs, elastics, salt, cans, water bottles, mirrors, PVC piping and other materials to generate perpetual motion devices are popping up everywhere, with several listed below. Innovators are taking apart old fans, bicycles, washing machines, microwave transformers, kettles and other scrap engine parts to create energy generators using fly wheels and similar ingenious devices.

Creativity abounds when it comes to harnessing energy from the air, water, wind, sun, and other sources in order to leave a smaller eco-footprint, save money, and be able to generate energy where it was not easily done before.
